The Pahokee HS standout they call Pete after FSU's Peter Warrick has decided he wanted to be a Gators and announced to a crowd at his high school this afternoon. The electric 5-10, 180-pounder will make a public announcement of his college commitment Friday at 3 p.m.

Saying that Michael Carter has family ties to Gainesville is an understatement. Both of Carter’s grandparents on his father’s side were born in Gainesville and his grandmother on his mother’s side resides in Gainesville. His ties to Gainesville have helped him build a close relationship with the football program at the University of Florida.
