The Gators already have one defensive tackle in the class of 2009 with Gary Brown and even with a limited number of scholarships that hasn’t stopped the search to find a couple more defensive tackles. The Gators are going hard after Antwan Lowery of Miami Christopher Columbus, who is an impressive combination of size and mobility.

DESTIN --- It is debatable if the system is broken beyond repair or just on life support but there is no question that the AAU program that acts as the feeder for Division I basketball is in desperate need of some changes. Although the coaches of the Southeastern Conference didn’t reach any definitive conclusions or proposals about what changes are needed at their spring meetings at the Sandestin Hilton this week, there was agreement that there are huge problems that must be dealt with soon.
