June 8 is circled on Bush’s calendar

For the past couple of months Malcolm Bush has had June 8 circled on his calendar. That’s the date the big tight end from Hackensack, New Jersey will be in Gainesville at Florida’s football camp where he hopes to impress the coaching staff enough to earn a scholarship offer. With less then a week until the big day, Bush is optimistic that he will get the offer before he leaves Gainesville.

Offers pouring in for Jonotthan Harrison

Just a few weeks ago, South Lake’s Jonotthan “Big Baby” Harrison (5-4, 280) had only enough scholarship offers to count on one hand but after a spring that saw coaches flocking to Lake County, Harrison has more offers than he can count on his fingers and toes. With all these offers in hand, the 6-4, 280-pound offensive lineman is making plans to take some unofficial visits and make a college decision before school starts.

Florida infielder Josh Adams (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named to the 2008 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-America Team chosen by Collegiate Baseball newspaper on Wednesday. The list features a who's who of tremendous baseball talent.

A few minutes with Tommy Tuberville

DESTIN --- Tommy Tuberville is seriously thinking about offering a scholarship to an eighth grader. He knows the kid very well and has seen him play a number of times since he lives within shouting distance of Jordan-Hare Stadium at Auburn University. Tuberville thinks the young man is going to be a Division I football player someday but there is a slight problem. Tuberville can’t talk to the kid without mom around.

It starts in the trenches

The numbers don’t lie. Take a look at the success of Florida’s 2007 offense and those staggering numbers tell a story of an offensive line that got the job done game in and game out. The Gators might put up offensive numbers in 2008 that make the 2007 numbers pale in comparison and if that happens the men in the trenches will have done their job once again. When it comes to his 2008 line, Coach Steve Addazio returns four starters and more depth than he’s ever had at Florida so he knows this unit could turn out to be very special.
