Several Florida Players Named To Watch Lists by the Maxwell Football Club

Four University of Florida football players were named to watch lists by the Maxwell Football Club as Percy Harvin, Emmanuel Moody and Tim Tebow were among those on the watch list for the 72nd Maxwell Award. Junior linebacker Brandon Spikes was named to the 14th Chuck Bednarik Award watch list.

Last visit clinches Harrison commitment

To borrow an old cliché, Jonotthan Harrison and his family left no stone unturned when it came time to make a college decision. Needing one last bit of reassurance as well as a few questions answered, Harrison and his parents took one last trip to Gainesville last Monday and after spending time with Coach Urban Meyer and offensive line coach Steve Addazio, they had everything they needed to make a commitment to the University of Florida.

Baseball’s Adams Earns Another Frosh A-A Honor

Florida second baseman Josh Adams (Jacksonville, Fla.) was named to the 2008 Baseball America Freshman All-America Team released on Monday. He had previously been tabbed a Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
