Holmes hopes UF offers at FNL

Gabe Holmes is all about fitness. Two hours a day he’s in the gym trying to build his body up for what should be a great senior season of high school football. After his own workout, he’s at the local Boys and Girls Club in Fort Lauderdale, helping young kids achieve their own fitness goals.

Baseball’s Adams Earns 3rd Freshman All-America Accolade

A painful loss

Saturday marks one year since I woke up to the news that Avery Atkins had either taken his own life or died of a drug overdose in Daytona Beach. During the past year, I’ve thought about him so many times and I can’t tell you how my heart aches that this kid felt so cornered by his circumstances that he wouldn’t listen to the people that only had his best interests in mind.

GC exclusive video: Porter and Boyd

Gastonia Ashbrook wide receiver Jheranie Boyd and Charlotte Victory Christian lineman Curtis Porter are two of the hottest prospects in the state of North Carolina and they're among the top players at their positions on the Gator Country recruiting board. Although they are relatively new friends, they have grown very close in the past couple of months. Soon they will be traveling to the state of Florida for a three-school tour of Miami, Florida and Florida State. Gator Country caught up with the two friends for this exclusive interview.
