Gators want Bostic in orange and blue

Jon Bostic’s relationship with Florida coaching staff has been strong since the first time they spoke but a recent conversation with defensive coordinator Charlie Strong, Bostic found out just how much the Gators want him. Strong made it perfectly clear to Bostic, a 6-3, 225-pound linebacker with speed and a mean streak, that the Gators want him wearing orange and blue.

Chandler is already a wanted man

Even though he has yet to begin his junior year at Miami Northwestern, Todd Chandler is already a wanted man. Franz Beard’s Basketball Confidential

Kenny Boynton let his game do all the talking this week. Since April, one recruiting service or another has touted guards like John Wall (6-3, 180, Raleigh, NC Word of God Academy, #7 ESPN Top 100) or Abdul Gaddy (6-3, 170, Tacoma, WA Bellarmine Prep, #14 ESPN Top 100) or Dominic Cheek (6-5, 175, Jersey City, NJ St. Antony's, #5 ESPN Top 100) or Leslie McDonald (6-5, 200, Memphis, TN Briarcrest Christian, #8 ESPN Top 100). Those are all very good players, no doubt about it, but what Boynton did at Reebok U this week clearly established him as the true top gun among guards.

Photo Gallery: ESPN’s “TitleTown USA” comes to Gainesville

The scene was reminiscent of a College GameDay visit to campus. ESPN had a television set, Albert the Alligator and the UF cheerleaders were present and a rowdy crowd of orange and blue clad fans covered the north lawn outside of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler and Lee Corso were absent. Instead, UF alumna Erin Andrews and Florida junior quarterback Tim Tebow made the case for Gainesville to be named "TitleTown USA."

All about the team for Tevin McCaskill

Tevin McCaskill has set his priorities and he’s put the team ahead of personal gains. McCaskill has been part of Miami Northwestern’s back-to-back state championship teams and he wants to keep that streak alive so team goals are first and foremost. That means recruiting can take a spot on the back burner for the time being.
