Not that Urban Meyer really cares what the critics have to say about him, but four years ago the same folks that were calling his spread option offense a loony concoction that would work only against a bunch of matadors and never against a decent defense were saying Friday Night Lights had all the earmarks of a desperate act by a desperate man.
