17 Gator Baseball Players Chosen To SEC Academic Honor Roll

Seventeen members of the Gator baseball team were named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll announced on Tuesday. The total matched the highest number of Academic All-SEC recipients for Florida baseball in school history, set in 2003.

Tulane Defeats Baseball, 7-4, In NCAA Opener

Down 4-1 entering the seventh inning, third-seeded Tulane (38-20-1) erupted for six runs on six hits during the frame to post a 7-4 victory over second-seeded Florida (34-23) on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional. Senior Jon Townsend belted a two-run homer for the Gators.

Tournament books for the 2008 NCAA Baseball Tallahassee Regional ($45 for reserved seats and $30 for general admission seats) are now on sale via the Internet at www.seminoles.com. Vanderbilt Knocks Off Baseball, 7-3, At SEC Tourney
