Webster can play but what position?

Finding the right school to play football at the next level is proving a challenge for Kayvon Webster of Monsignor Pace in Opa-Locka. He has 17 scholarship offers so there is no shortage of top schools that want him to sign a scholarship. The easy part of this process is where he will play. Webster is a multi-purpose athlete that can play just about anywhere on the field. Where he plays is not a problem for Webster. He simply wants to be on the field somewhere

Dreams come true, Burton’s a Gator

Trey Burton always envisioned himself as the next Emmitt Smith or Fred Taylor. He always saw himself as the next great Florida tailback, not the next Danny Wuerffel or Tim Tebow but ever since he made the switch to quarterback after his freshman year, there has been no doubt what position he wanted to play at the next level. After Thursday night, there is also no doubt where he will be playing college football. He will get that chance to be the next Wuerffel or Tebow because Trey Burton is going to be a Gator.

Gators, Vols leaders for Frankie Telfort

It was bad enough that Frankie Telfort was cooped up in a car for a six-school tour that took him from Miami to Knoxville and points in between, but he couldn’t sleep either. Oh how he wishes he had remembered to bring his own pillow along.

Dunkley loves UF but will be patient

It was ever so tempting at Friday Night Lights. There was Chris Dunkley, a 5-10, 170-pound wide receiver from Royal Palm Beach under the bright lights of The Swamp with the music blaring and everywhere he looked there was competition. It was almost enough that Dunkley committed to the Florida Gators right on the spot.

One school stands out for Berry

There were plenty of talented prospects at Friday Night Lights last week but noticeably absent was Jaamal Berry, the mega-talent running back from Miami Palmetto. They say that absence makes the heart go fonder so maybe that explains why the Florida coaches have let him know how much they wish he had been there and how much they want him to be a Gator.
